Roxanne Leopold Scholarship Fund

For nearly four decades, King Street Center has been preparing young people for a successful life after high school.  In today’s economy, success often means pursuing some kind of higher education, whether it’s trade school, community college, or a four-year university degree.

To help our most promising students pursue their educational and career goals, the board of directors created the Roxane Leopold Scholarship Fund in 2007.  Named in honor of long-time Executive Director Roxane Leopold, the fund annually awards up to $10,000 in cash awards to exceptional students in our community that need and deserve support the most.

To be eligible, applicants must have been touched by King Street Center in some way – either as a program participant or as a parent of a child in one of our programs.

Applications are reviewed by a volunteer committee and are judged based on financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement.

The number of awards varies from year to year.  Scholarships range from $500 to $2,500.

Application forms and instructions are available through the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), which helps us administer the program.

The application deadline for the Roxane Leopold Scholarship Fund is March 1st.
