Our afterschool program promotes safe, healthy fun in a creative and challenging environment. Children are placed in age-appropriate groups and choose from a range of activities each day. Daily program choices include arts and crafts, outdoor and indoor play, cooking, computers, constructive and dramatic play, exploring nature, tennis, and science activities. Homework help is always available.
We collaborate with many community partners to enhance our afterschool programming. This includes field trips to Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, ECHO, the Flynn Center, Sports & Fitness Edge, and many others.
Strong partnerships with area colleges ensure a low student-to-staff ratio. Each semester many student interns and volunteers work alongside our staff, providing additional supervision and support.
The Afterschool Program is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. This licensed program runs from 2:30-5:15 pm during the school year, with extended care available during school holidays. A healthy snack is provided. There is a weekly fee of $20 per child. Childcare subsidy is also accepted and we are happy to walk you through the application process.
