Development Coordinator
Classification: Part time, year round, non-exempt
Hours: 20 hours per week
Location: On-site required for core functions; hybrid flexibility available
Salary: $24–$28/hour, based on experience
Position Overview
The Development Coordinator works at the center of a small, high-functioning fundraising and communications team, ensuring that gifts are processed with care, constituent records are accurate, and donor interactions and acknowledgments reflect King Street Center's values. Accuracy, responsiveness, and reliability are the foundation of donor trust — and this role is on the front line for all three. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with data and systems, and takes pride in supporting donor relationships and community impact through operational excellence.

Essential Duties
Gift Processing & Donor Services
Manage gift processing and data entry into Little Green Light, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate coding across all gift types and giving channels.
Generate and mail hard copy acknowledgment letters and tax receipts.
Respond to donor inquiries via phone and email as a warm and responsive point of contact.
Database Management
Maintain the Little Green Light donor database with a high standard of accuracy, including routine cleanup, deduplication, and returned mail updates.
Conduct routine wealth screening of new donors to support portfolio management.
Maintain alignment between LGL and our email marketing platform (Mailchimp), ensuring donor information is consistent across both systems.
Generate donor lists and reports from LGL in support of mailings, campaigns, and stewardship activities.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of process documentation for gift entry and data integrity standards.
Event & Administrative Support
Support in-house bulk mailings, including list preparation, assembly, and mailing.
Provide support for donor-related events, including logistics and supply coordination, registration, and post-event data entry.
Support one-off development team projects as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Experience
One to two years of experience in a nonprofit development office, or comparable private sector role emphasizing database management.
Demonstrated proficiency working in a CRM; familiarity with Little Green Light preferred.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with Mailchimp or similar email platforms a plus.

Organized and self-directed, with strong time management in an independent work environment.
Communicates clearly and thoughtfully with donors and teammates.

What We’re Looking For
The following areas represent experience we value and will compensate at the higher end of our range. Candidates with strength in any of these areas will contribute meaningfully from the start.
Advanced proficiency with Little Green Light, including reporting, dashboard creation, list segmentation, and database optimization.
Experience serving as a team's primary data resource, contributing to data standards and procedures, and improving database strategy.
Familiarity with online giving platforms, including back-end configuration and management of donation forms.
Working knowledge of bulk mailing workflows, including file preparation and vendor coordination.
Experience supporting routine reconciliation between fundraising and finance teams.
Work Environment
This role is based primarily in a comfortable office setting. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Interaction with children, families, donors, volunteers from our greater community.
