King Street Center is hiring for a Teacher in our Early Education program. Assistant Teachers support children ranging in age from 18 months to 5 years in building a love of learning and care for others, within an environment of mutual respect. All teachers support daily classroom activities, attend to children’s care and safety, and help maintain a welcoming learning environment.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and relationship-driven K-5 Lead to oversee one of our elementary afterschool programs serving youth in grades 2-3 or grades 4-5.
As a Lead, you'll help shape meaningful learning experiences, mentor young people, support social-emotional development, collaborate with families, and oversee other staff as necessary in creating an engaging, inclusive afterschool environment.
You will work closely with the K-5 Director to develop and deliver enriching programming that helps youth build academic and social skills, confidence, leadership, creativity, and community connections.

The K-5 Program Staff supports the supervision of an afterschool classroom for either grades Kindergarten to 1st grade, 2nd grade to 3rd grade or 4th grade to 5th grade. The Program Staff is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities and building trusting youth relationships. The expected work schedule is 21 hours a week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:2:00pm - 6:00pm. Wednesday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Additional hours may be assigned for summer programming or school vacation weeks.
