Each year, King Street Center Academic & Career Exploration youth participate in an end-of-summer showcase where they present what they’ve learned through the program, both through visual displays and conversations with guests. Over the last two years, we’ve hosted the event onsite at King Street Center, but we’re quickly outgrowing our gym space and are excited about expanding this year’s event outward into the community!
The event includes youth-created trifold displays set up throughout the space, along with a networking-style portion where guests can connect directly with students about their experiences, interests, and future goals. The second half of the evening will feature a short film highlighting youth reflections and interviews, along with a moderated youth panel discussion facilitated by Joe Ruggles, the Academic & Career Exploration Program Director, for you to hear directly from participants!
